How can i get rabies?

ok so a baby raccoon snuck into my house, hes been living in my house now.He's really cute and really friendly. I pet em and fed em blueberries, i havent been bit or scrached, but now i found out that you don't have 2 be bitten to get rabies. That u can get it from its spit. So if its spit got on my cat and then i kiss my cat...i can have rabies? and if it drinks from my cats water dish, and then my cats drink from it...my cats can catch it...an then my cats drool on me ill be infected? is this posible? can some1 help me out. Also my cats were vaccinated 4 years ago...so are they in the clear? this raccoon has only been in my attic o it probably isnt infected right?
